Strategy

Marketing Assistance: To act as a Nodal Agency of entrepreneurs of Small Sector units.
Participation in Tender : Participates in Government procurement of goods through tendering process.
Manufacturing: Enhancement of Ayurvedic Medicines.
Creation Infrastructure: Creation of new infrastructure facilities to the Small Sector Units.

Business plan

I) On going Activities & Project

  • 1) Infrastructure Facilities : ASIDC Ltd. provides shed and land in its Industrial Park, Industrial Area, Commercial Estate in different places of the state to the industrial units.

 

  • 2) Manufacturing & Marketing of Ayurvedic Medicine: ASIDC Ltd. has an Ayurvedic Medicine unit namely “Assam Ayurvedic Products” which was established in the year, 1967 and producing different type of Ayurvedic Medicine and Marketing the products in the Govt. Department and General Market.

 

  • 3) Marketing Assistance: ASIDC Ltd. is providing Marketing Assistance to the local registered MSEs since 1989 under APSP Act and presently under Procurement Preference Policy of Assam.

 

  • 4) Nodal Agency: ASIDC Ltd. is act as Nodal Agency for promotion and development of Micro & Small Enterprises in the State and take necessary steps to develop appropriate venders by organizing Vendor Development Programes, Buyer- Seller meet including those owned by Schedule Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Women under Procurement Preference Policy, Assam

 

II) Infrastructure Development Projects
(1) Food Processing Park, Chaygaon
Project Cost Rs. 496.00 lakh,
Status: Construction including installation of cold storage plant , internal road, drain & boundary wall completed.
(2) Modernization of Assam Ayurvedic Products, Guwahati:
Project Cost Rs. 386.38 lakh.
Status: Construction and installation of machinery completed and functioning now.

(3) Model Nursery at Mandakata
Project Cost Rs. 45.00 lakh
Status: Construction works completed and nursery works started.

 

iii) Marketing Support to MSEs by implementation of Procurement Policy of Assam

Objectives of ASIDC

The Assam Small Industries Development Corporation Limited (ASIDC) was set up by the Govt. of Assam under the Companies Act on March 27, 1962 with a view to develop small scale industries in the State. Its objectives, as imperative, are all pervasive to cover whatever activities will be called for so as to foster promotion, development and well-being of the SSI sector in the State.

Aims and objectives of ASIDC for the next 15 years i.e. upto 2030
There is an urgent need for ASIDC to diversify its activities in the light of the Govt. policy commensurate with the motto of the formation of ASIDC. Besides self-sufficiency, ASIDC is planning to purchase/acquire land in each district head quarter of Assam to create Industrial Area with all infrastructural facilities and skill development centers. Special thrust will be given to encourage entrepreneurs in establishing MSEs based on the raw materials available and specialized product of that area. Target to create industrial environment earmarking solutions  for SC/ST and women entrepreneurship.

Major Project Implemented by ASIDC

Completed projects: 

(1) Food Processing Park, Chaygaon

Land Allotment

Available land under the Corporation is allotted to prospective entrepreneurs from time to time through a process. The Corporation has the following Infrastructures in different locations, viz:

Fees including the payment mode for allotment of land
Application shall be accompanied with following fee, viz:
(1) Non-refundable processing fee of 0.50 paisa per sq.mtr ( Maximum Rs 2000) in (2) Security deposit of Rs. 5000 per 1000 sq mtr
(3) Development charge as per Bidding Process.
The above amount shall be submitted by way of Demand Draft/Cheque in favour of "Assam Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd".
