Assam, with its unique location advantage in combination with its rich natural resources and abundant and cheap skilled labour force, has the potential to emerge as a strategic base for foreign and domestic investors to tap the vast potential of contiguous markets of ASEAN and South East Asian countries. At the same time, it provides a large domestic market for the North East region. The economy of Assam is registering an upward trend and this can be improved further by boosting investment in the manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.
In this backdrop ASIDC visualizes itself playing a role model as a befitting SPSE in making industrialization of Assam more pragmatic and glorious so as to take the State to a point where it is invariably seen as mighty in thought, mighty in deeds, mighty in service to society.
The Mission before ASIDC is to change with time, honestly and efficiently, to build its inner strength and to capitalize its opportunities for making future March of Assam Industrialization more pragmatic and glorious.
